Nova Scotia has announced 55 new cases of COVID-19 over a three-day period (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

There are now 129 known active cases in the province. Eight people are in hospital with the disease, but not in ICU. Eighty-eight people are considered newly recovered, which means they are no longer contagious and not necessarily that they aren’t sick.

However, the approximately 8,000 military personnel stationed in Nova Scotia were vaccinated through the military’s vaccination program and are not included in the above percentages; if they are included, then the double-dosed percentage increases to 74.3% of the entire population.

People 12 years old and older can also book a vaccination appointment这里。

People in rural areas who need transportation to a vaccination appointment should contact乡村游乐设施, which will get you there and back home for just $5. You need to book the ride 24 hours ahead of time.

Uncover: Dead Wrong

In 1995, Brenda Way was brutally murdered behind a Dartmouth apartment building. In 1999, Glen Assoun was found guilty of the murder. He served 17 years in prison, but steadfastly maintained his innocence. In 2019, Glen Assoun was fully exonerated.

Halifax Examiner founder and investigative journalist Tim Bousquet has followed the story of Glen Assoun's wrongful conviction for over five years. Now, Bousquet tells that story as host of Season 7 of the CBC podcast series Uncover: Dead Wrong.
